Gary Freeman

Gary Freeman was born and raised in Southeast Texas.   In 1979 he began his financial services career as a field underwriter with Mutual of New York (MONY). In 1981 Gary accepted the position of Director of Financial Planning with the Beaumont branch of E.F. Hutton & Co.   He maintained this position until 1984 when he opened a branch office of First Affiliated Securities Inc., a registered broker dealer firm.   Gary has held license as a registered representative (Series 7), registered securities principle (Series 24), registered options principle (Series 4) and registered commodities broker (Series 3).   Gary continued to operate as an individual adviser until 1996 when he became a vice president with First Bank & Trust.   Gary was the Director of brokerage services and adviser to the trust department.   In 1998 the trust department was re-structured into a Registered Investment Advisory firm known as Oak River Financial Group Inc.   Gary was named president of Oak River and was responsible for managing all Oak River's accounts.   In 2004 Gary acquired all outstanding shares of Oak River and became the sole owner.   Today he is still the sole owner and president of Oak River Financial Group Inc.

Gary has been married to his loving wife Debbie for 34 years.   He has two children Aaron and Ashley.   Gary spends most of his free time with family and friends.    He also enjoys playing golf and has a passion for fishing.

Aaron Freeman is a native of Southeast Texas.  He graduated from Monsignor Kelly High School in Beaumont.  Aaron attended Stephen F. Austin State University and Lamar University, where he majored in business and was on the dean's list.  Aaron was the Honor Graduate of his United States Marine Corps recruiting class and was meritoriously promoted twice and was the recipient of the Leather Neck Award.  He was honorably discharged in 2000 due to injury.  In 2004 Aaron began his career in financial services with Oak River.  He is an investment adviser representative (Series 65) and a licensed agent with the State of Texas department of insurance. 

Aaron also holds the RIS designation, (Retirement Income Specialist) and a CAS designation,  (Certified Annuity Specialist.)  Less than 1% of those individuals in the financial services field have earned those designations.  Aaron is currently working on his MSFS (Masters of Science in Financial Services) and his ChFC ( Chartered Financial Consultant.)
